Praziquantel - 175 mg
Pyrantel Pamoate - 504 mg
Febantel - 525 mg
Kiwof Plus XL 175/504/524 is a multi-spectrum de-wormer designed for dogs and is appropriate for medium and large breeds, but not for puppies or cats. Kiwof Plus XL is proficient in managing all typical gastrointestinal worms, such as roundworms (ascarids) Toxocara canis and Toxascaris leonine; hookworms Ancylostoma caninum and Uncinaria stenocephala; and whipworm Trichuris vulpis.
Additionally, it is effective against intestinal tapeworms (cestodes), including Dipylidium caninum, Taenia taeniaformis, Echinococcus granulosus, and Echinococcus multilocularis, and aids in the removal and management of the hydatid cyst, the larval stage of the tapeworm.
Kiwof Plus XL can also be administered alongside other treatments, such as medications for preventing heartworm, fleas, and ticks, as well as vaccinations; however, it should not be combined with other deworming treatments. Kiwof Plus XL can be given directly to the dog or mixed with food, as it is straightforward to use.
The most frequently reported side effects of Kiwof Plus XL include vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy.
Do not administer Kiwof Plus XL if your dog:
is allergic to praziquantel, pyrantel pamoate, febantel, or any components of Kiwof Plus XL
is pregnant, unless you consult your veterinarian
is being treated with a piperazine deworming medication
is still a puppy
